How Much Does It Cost to Send Flowers Overseas?
The cost of sending flowers overseas is mostly the cost of the bouquet itself plus delivery in the destination city, and the total depends on the flowers you choose, the country and the date. With Turboflora you see one final figure before you pay: for orders abroad the price on the country or city page is already converted to rubles and already includes delivery, so there is no separate international fee to add at checkout. For deliveries inside Russian cities, delivery is a flat 500 RUB, while for remote districts and suburbs the operator confirms the price when confirming the order.
That is the short answer. The longer one is worth a few minutes of your time, because two bouquets that look similar in a photo can differ a lot in price for reasons that are easy to understand once a florist walks you through them. Below we break down what you are actually paying for, how to get a generous-looking bouquet without overspending, and the small details that decide whether your flowers arrive on the right day in the right condition.
What you are actually paying for
Every international flower order has three parts. The first is the flowers: the variety, the number of stems, their length and grade. A bouquet of fifteen long-stemmed roses uses more and pricier material than a compact seasonal posy, and that difference shows up directly in the price. The second part is the florist's work: conditioning the stems, building the arrangement so it holds its shape, wrapping it and writing the card. The third part is delivery to the door in the recipient's city.
When you order abroad with us, the second and third parts are already folded into the figure you see. You choose a bouquet on the page for the country or city, enter the address and the text for the card, and pay online in rubles. The card with your message is free, so a heartfelt note does not add anything to the total.
What you will not find is a separate cross-border line at checkout. The price on the bouquet page is the price for the bouquet delivered to the address in that city, which makes comparing options simple: what you see on the card of the bouquet is what you pay.
Why the same bouquet costs different amounts in different countries
If you compare the same type of bouquet for London, Warsaw and Cairo, you will notice the prices are not identical. Flowers are a fresh agricultural product, and their cost in any given city depends on how far they travel to get there, local labour costs, and the season. Tulips are inexpensive and plentiful in spring in much of Europe, while in midsummer they become a rarity and cost more. Roses, on the other hand, are available all year almost everywhere, which keeps them a predictable choice.
Calendar dates matter as much as geography. Around Valentine's Day, Mother's Day in the destination country and, if you are sending to Russia, around 8 March and 1 September, demand for flowers jumps, and so does pressure on couriers. If your date is fixed, order early: you get a wider choice of bouquets and a calmer delivery schedule.
Finally, remember that you pay in rubles. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount at its own rate, so the figure on your statement may differ slightly from what you calculated in your head.

How to get more bouquet for your budget
A florist's first tip is to choose flowers that are in season where the recipient lives. Seasonal flowers are fresher, last longer in the vase and usually cost less than imported out-of-season stems. In spring, tulips and mimosa; in summer, peonies and field-style mixes; in autumn, chrysanthemums, which in Russia are both affordable and remarkably long-lasting (more in our guide to chrysanthemums in Russia).
The second tip: volume does not have to come from expensive flowers. A bouquet built around a few focal blooms with spray roses, eucalyptus or other greenery looks generous and natural. Mono-bouquets of one variety look elegant, but they need more stems to look full.
Third, think about the recipient's home. A tall, heavy arrangement is spectacular, but an elderly relative may not have a vase big enough for it. A medium-sized hand-tied bouquet is often both the more practical and the more affordable gift, and it will be easier to care for over the following week.
A little etiquette goes further than a bigger bouquet
Spending more is not always the most thoughtful choice. If you are sending flowers to Russia, keep in mind the local custom that bouquets for happy occasions traditionally have an odd number of stems, while even numbers are associated with funerals. Many younger people no longer care, but an older relative might, and a bouquet of eleven roses will be received more warmly than twelve.
Colour carries meaning too. Yellow flowers are cheerful but in some families are still read as a hint at separation, so for a romantic gesture red or soft pink roses are safer. For a colleague or a teacher, a bright mixed seasonal bouquet says thank you without seeming too personal.
And do not underestimate the card. A few warm words in the recipient's own language often mean more than an extra five stems. If you are writing in Russian and are not sure about the spelling, a manager can check the text for you before it is printed.
How ordering abroad works with Turboflora
We deliver flowers across Russia and to 53 other countries, more than 1630 cities in total, including the USA, the United Kingdom, Poland, France, Spain, Egypt, Germany and Canada. All countries and cities are listed on our flower delivery abroad page (it is in Russian, but country names are easy to find). The process is the same as for an order inside Russia: pick the bouquet on the country or city page, enter the address and the card text, and pay online by bank card, SBP or Yandex Pay.
If you live abroad and want to send flowers to family in Russia, the picture is even simpler. City delivery costs 500 RUB, and in large cities express delivery takes 1-2 hours after the order is confirmed. You can also choose an exact time (plus or minus 30 minutes), one of the time windows 09-12, 12-15, 15-18 or 18-21, or pre-order 1 to 30 days ahead, which is ideal when you want the bouquet to arrive on a birthday morning. Details are on the delivery and payment page.
If you are unsure about the bouquet, the time or the wording of the card, write to a manager on WhatsApp. They will help you choose, agree the address and time, and can send a photo of the bouquet before delivery, which matters a lot when you cannot see the flowers yourself.
Details that protect your money
The most expensive bouquet is the one that never reaches the recipient. Before paying, double-check the full address, including entrance, floor and flat number, and add the recipient's phone number. Our courier calls about 15 minutes before arrival. If nobody is home, we agree a second delivery the same day or, with your consent, leave the flowers with a neighbour or concierge.
Think about surprise versus convenience. Delivery is anonymous by default: the courier does not name the sender, and only your card tells the recipient who the flowers are from. If you want it to be a surprise, keep the card signed but ask the manager to coordinate a time when the person is likely to be at home.
Last, mind the time difference. A pre-ordered bouquet for a set time window removes the guesswork of placing the order late at night your time and hoping it arrives on the morning of the celebration.
