How to Send Flowers to Germany from the United States

To send flowers to Germany from the United States, choose the recipient’s city on Turboflora’s Germany page, select a bouquet, enter the delivery address and card text, and pay online in rubles through CloudPayments. We deliver in Berlin, Potsdam, Osnabrück and Rheine; the international bouquet price already includes delivery. Check the payment options displayed at checkout and confirm the delivery arrangements for your chosen city.

The practical work is in getting a few details right: the recipient’s address, their availability in German local time and a bouquet suited to the occasion. You do not need to send the flowers physically from the US. You place an order for delivery in Germany, so start with the destination and its available bouquets rather than choosing from a catalogue for a different country.

Check the German destination before choosing flowers

Start with Flower delivery to Germany and check the city before settling on a design. Our current German coverage is Berlin, Potsdam, Osnabrück and Rheine. A nearby town or an address outside the named city needs confirmation; proximity alone does not establish that delivery is available. Resolve that point before making plans around a particular bouquet.

The Flower delivery abroad page lists all supported countries and cities and is in Russian. If you do not read Russian, your browser’s translation function can help you navigate, but check place names against the recipient’s written address. Similar-looking names and an address described casually as “near Berlin” can conceal a different destination.

Use the country or city page for the actual selection. A bouquet visible elsewhere on the site should not be treated as an offer for every destination. If the recipient is in Berlin, our guide to sending flowers to Berlin also helps you think through the city-specific details before ordering.

Prepare an address that someone can actually find

Ask for the recipient’s full name, street name, house number, postcode and city, and keep the German spelling as supplied. Include an apartment, floor or building detail when it helps identify the entrance. In a block of flats, the surname shown on the doorbell may be more useful than an informal description such as “the apartment above the café”.

Provide a usable recipient phone number, preferably in international format with the country code. If you are entering your own US number as the sender, keep it distinct from the recipient’s contact details. A number that reaches you in America cannot always resolve a question about a German entrance, office reception desk or locked courtyard.

For a workplace, add the company name and any relevant reception instructions. For a hotel or other temporary address, first check that the recipient will still be staying there on the intended date and that flowers can be received. A surprise works better when you verify access discreetly than when you leave the address dependent on a guess.

Choose flowers for the person and the occasion

Begin with the recipient’s taste: colours they wear, flowers they have mentioned or the style of their home. A compact, rounded bouquet can be easier to accommodate on a desk or small table than a wide arrangement. When comparing designs, look at their shape and proportions as well as their colours; a photograph alone can make scale difficult to judge.

For a romantic gesture, red roses carry a familiar message, so choose them deliberately. For a birthday, thank-you or family celebration, a mixed bouquet in the recipient’s preferred colours gives you more room for a personal choice. Flower meanings are not a universal code: your relationship and the words on the card do more to establish the message than a rigid colour rule.

For sympathy, choose with particular care and ask about family preferences if you can. White lilies and chrysanthemums can have funeral associations in Germany, although context matters. If you are sending a cheerful birthday gift and know little about the recipient’s preferences, a mixed seasonal-looking design may communicate your intention more clearly than a single symbolic flower.

Consider scent and the space where the flowers will stand. Strongly scented flowers may be unwelcome in a shared office or beside someone who is sensitive to fragrance. If you need help choosing, ask about the bouquet’s contents rather than assuming that every arrangement in a similar colour palette will have the same scent or character.

Agree the date using German local time

Write the desired date unambiguously, for example “14 November”, and specify that any requested time is local time in Germany. Numeric dates can be read differently in the US and Europe. The time difference also varies with your US location, and daylight-saving transitions do not always happen on the same dates, so check the actual day you intend to send.

Ask about the available delivery arrangements for the German destination before relying on a deadline. Our Russian express service and Russian delivery windows do not establish the timing available in Germany. A request such as “before they leave for dinner” needs an agreed arrangement; placing that sentence in an order does not by itself confirm a delivery time.

Use WhatsApp to agree the address, requested date, timing and card text with a manager, or to get help choosing the bouquet. Explain any practical constraint early, such as the recipient leaving a workplace in the afternoon. A clear constraint is more useful than simply labelling the order urgent, because it identifies what needs to be checked.

Review the ruble total and complete checkout

Once you have chosen a bouquet on the German country or city page, enter the address and your card message, then review the order before paying. International prices are already converted to rubles and include delivery. The 500 RUB city delivery fee applies to Russian cities; it is not an additional German delivery charge to add to the displayed international price.

Online checkout uses CloudPayments. Check the payment options shown there and whether your intended card can be used; acceptance of every US-issued or other foreign card is not guaranteed. Because the payment is in rubles, check your bank’s currency-conversion terms and any applicable fees when assessing what the purchase will cost you in dollars.

Read back the recipient’s name, postcode, house number, date and card text as a final check. These are easy fields to overlook when ordering across languages and time zones. Keep the order confirmation so you can refer to the same details if you contact the manager. If payment does not complete, check the order’s status before attempting another payment.

If your next gift is going to Russia, you can also order with us there. Russian city delivery costs 500 RUB, while an operator confirms the price for remote districts and suburbs. Large-city express delivery is 1–2 hours after order confirmation. See Delivery and payment for the Russian service details, and keep those terms separate from your German order.

Make the message personal and help the flowers settle in

Keep the card specific enough to sound like you. “Happy birthday, Anna. Wishing you a lovely day—we’ll celebrate together when I visit. Love, Michael” gives the flowers a clear purpose without needing a long message. Use the language the recipient is most comfortable reading, and check names and any German wording before submitting the text.

Sign the message if you want the recipient to know who sent the flowers. If you intend an anonymous gift, agree how that should be handled for the German order. Our Russian deliveries are anonymous by default and include a free card with your text, but you should confirm those arrangements for Germany rather than assume that every country follows the same procedure.

For a cut-flower bouquet, suggest a clean vase, fresh water and removal of any leaves that would sit below the waterline. Recut the stem ends with a clean, sharp tool before arranging them. If flower food is supplied, follow its directions. For an arrangement held in floral foam or another container, follow the care instructions for that format instead.

Place cut flowers away from radiators, direct sunlight and ripening fruit, and refresh the water regularly. A winter delivery should not be left outdoors while the recipient is away; arrange the handover with their availability in mind. These simple choices give the bouquet a better start without relying on a promised vase life, which varies with the flowers and conditions.
