How to Write a Moscow Address for Flower Delivery

For a Moscow delivery address, give the street name, house or building number, any additional building identifier, apartment or office number, Moscow, the six-digit postcode and Russia. In a single English-language line, use this template: [Street name], house [number], korpus [number if applicable], apartment [number], [Moscow, [postcode], Russia](/en/blog/russia-moscow-pin-code). Add the recipient's name and telephone number in their separate order fields.

For flowers, the address also needs to help a courier reach the right door. An entrance number, intercom instruction or office reception detail can be more useful for that final approach than a perfectly punctuated address. Keep the official location separate from access notes, and preserve every building identifier supplied by your recipient rather than shortening an unfamiliar address.

Put each part of the Moscow address in the right place

Start with the address exactly as the recipient gives it, then divide it into the fields requested by the order form. Put Moscow in the city field, the street name in the street field and the house number in the building field. If there is only one address box, follow the template above. The purpose is to keep each component recognisable; commas cannot compensate for a missing building number.

The recipient's name identifies who should receive the bouquet, while the apartment or office number identifies the destination inside the building. Include both when available. Do not put a telephone number into the postcode field or use the apartment number as the house number. When you copy an address from a message, check that a line break has not separated a building suffix from the number it belongs to.

For an international postal label, Russia and the postcode help identify the destination. For a flower order, the courier also needs a usable street address and contact details. Treat those as complementary pieces of information. Our guide to formatting a Russian address for flower delivery explains how the same components fit together for destinations beyond Moscow.

Keep house, korpus and stroenie identifiers distinct

Russian addresses can contain several numbers that refer to different things. Dom means house or building; kvartira means apartment. Korpus and stroenie identify additional buildings or structures within an address. You do not need to translate these terms elegantly. You need to preserve their relationship to the numbers, so the courier can distinguish the intended building from another one on the same site.

If the supplied address includes a house number followed by korpus or stroenie, retain both the term and its number. Do not combine the numbers into a new house number, turn one into an apartment number or replace the wording with a slash unless that slash appears in the original address. A letter attached to a building number also belongs to the address and should remain attached.

English letters are useful when you are entering an address from abroad, but use one consistent spelling of the street name. Copy an existing Latin-letter version supplied by the recipient where possible. Avoid translating a street name into its literal English meaning: that can make it harder to match to an address listing. If spelling or an abbreviation is unclear, ask for the full address before placing the order.

Check the postcode and whether the destination is Moscow

A Russian postcode has six digits. Use the code for the actual delivery address, rather than a code found for a nearby landmark or another address on the same street. If you do not know it, ask the recipient to confirm it. A postcode helps identify the destination, but it does not replace the street, house number or the extra building details needed to find the correct entrance.

Moscow and Moscow Oblast are different address destinations. Someone may describe their home as being near Moscow while the formal address names a separate town or settlement. Preserve that place name instead of replacing it with Moscow for convenience. This distinction matters when agreeing the route and delivery charge, particularly for an address outside the city or in a remote district.

TurboFlora delivers flowers across Russia. City delivery costs 500 RUB; for remote districts and suburbs, the operator confirms the price when confirming the order. Give the complete destination before agreeing delivery details so its location can be assessed. If you are unsure which number belongs in the postcode box, see our guide to entering a Moscow or St Petersburg postcode.

Add the access details that help flowers reach the door

Use the delivery notes for the entrance number, floor, intercom instructions and any relevant reception arrangements. A large residential building may have several entrances, and the apartment number alone may leave the approach unclear. Describe a landmark only when it adds something precise, such as which entrance faces a courtyard. Keep these directions separate from the formal street and building address.

For a workplace, include the company name, office or department and the recipient's name. Check whether the person will actually be there during the chosen period and whether reception can help direct the courier. For a home address, give a telephone number the recipient can answer. The courier calls about 15 minutes before arrival, so an unexpected call is part of the delivery arrangements.

If the recipient is absent, we agree a second delivery the same day or arrange to hand the flowers to a neighbour or concierge with the sender's consent. Do not assume that naming a concierge in the notes automatically authorises a handover. Use WhatsApp to agree the address, access instructions and any handover preferences with a manager before delivery.

Choose a delivery time that suits the recipient

Confirm the address and the recipient's likely whereabouts together. A home address may be correct but inconvenient during working hours; an office address may be unsuitable on a day off. When ordering from abroad, make clear that the requested time refers to the Moscow destination. This avoids confusion when you are planning a birthday or another occasion from a different time zone.

Express delivery in large cities is available within 1–2 hours after the order is confirmed. Other options are delivery at an exact time with a margin of plus or minus 30 minutes, or a window of 09–12, 12–15, 15–18 or 18–21. You can also preorder 1–30 days ahead. Choose the option around when the recipient can receive the flowers, and remember that express timing starts after confirmation.

For a surprise, allow for the courier's call rather than planning around complete secrecy. Delivery is anonymous by default: the courier does not name the sender. A card with your text is free, so decide whether to sign it or leave the sender unnamed. A short, personal message can explain the occasion without requiring the recipient to guess why the bouquet has arrived.

Review the address, bouquet and checkout before ordering

Choose your flowers from the bouquets catalogue, keeping the recipient and setting in mind. For an office gift, consider how the recipient will carry the flowers home; for a personal occasion, their preferred colours are a useful starting point. A manager can help you choose a bouquet and agree the card text, so you can connect the gift to the occasion without relying on assumed flower meanings.

Before submitting the order, read the delivery details as a complete set: recipient, telephone number, city, street, house, any korpus or stroenie, apartment or office, postcode and access notes. Compare the numbers against the original message from the recipient. If something is missing, resolve that specific gap rather than adding a guess. You can also agree a photo of the bouquet before delivery with a manager on WhatsApp.

Online checkout uses CloudPayments. Check the payment options displayed at checkout; acceptance of every foreign card is not guaranteed. Review the selected delivery date and time alongside the address, especially if you have changed the destination while choosing flowers. The delivery and payment information is a useful reference as you complete the order and confirm the arrangements.

Frequently asked questions

What is the correct Moscow address format in English?

Use the street name, house number, any korpus or stroenie identifier, apartment or office number, Moscow, the six-digit postcode and Russia. Enter the recipient's name and telephone number separately where the form provides fields for them.

Can I write a Moscow address using English letters?

Use a consistent Latin-letter spelling, preferably one supplied by the recipient. Preserve building identifiers and numbers, and avoid translating the street name into its literal English meaning.

Are korpus and apartment numbers the same thing?

No: korpus identifies a building within an address, while the apartment number identifies a unit inside a building. Keep both labelled when both appear in the recipient's address.

Can I send flowers anonymously to a Moscow address?

Delivery is anonymous by default, and the courier does not name the sender. A card with your text is free; leave your name out of the message if you want the card to remain unsigned.

Can I pay for Moscow flower delivery with a foreign card?

Online checkout uses CloudPayments, but acceptance of every foreign card is not guaranteed. Check the options displayed at checkout before completing your order.
