Sending Flowers with Tracking: How to Know Your Bouquet Arrived

When you send flowers with tracking, what you really want is three answers: was the order accepted, is the bouquet on its way, and did it reach the right person. With Turboflora you get those answers from a person rather than a map pin: the manager confirms the order, can send you a photo of the bouquet before it leaves, and the courier calls the recipient about 15 minutes before arrival, so you know exactly where things stand.

This guide explains how flower tracking works in practice when you order from abroad, which stages matter, what to ask for at each one, and how to plan the order so you are not refreshing your phone at midnight in another time zone. It is written the way a florist would explain it to a friend who is sending roses to their mother in another country for the first time.

What "tracking" means for a bouquet

A parcel travels through warehouses and sorting centres, so a tracking number with a dozen scans makes sense. A bouquet is different. It is assembled close to the time of delivery and travels a short distance to one address, often within a couple of hours. The useful checkpoints are therefore not scans but moments: the order is confirmed, the bouquet is ready, the courier is about to arrive, and the flowers are in the recipient's hands.

That is why the most reliable form of tracking for flowers is direct contact. When you order through our site, a manager confirms the order with you. If you want, you can agree the details on WhatsApp: the delivery time, the address, the text on the card, and a photo of the finished bouquet before it goes out. For a sender abroad, that photo is often the moment of relief, because you see exactly what your recipient will receive.

Think of it as a short chain of confirmations rather than a progress bar. Each link answers one worry. The confirmation tells you the order exists and the time is agreed; the photo tells you the bouquet looks the way you hoped; the courier's call tells you the recipient is expecting the door to ring; and the hand-over closes the loop.

The stages of a flower order, step by step

Stage one is the order itself. You choose a bouquet in the catalogue, enter the address and recipient's phone number, write the card text and pay online by bank card, SBP or Yandex Pay. The card with your message is free, so there is no reason to leave it blank: it is the part of the gift your recipient will keep after the petals fall.

Stage two is confirmation. An operator confirms the order and, for remote districts and suburbs, confirms the delivery price at the same time; within the city, delivery costs 500 RUB. This is also the moment to correct anything: a missing flat number, an entrance code, a note that the building has two entrances. Most delivery problems come from small address gaps, not from the courier.

Stage three is timing. In large cities we can deliver within 1-2 hours after the order is confirmed, at an exact time with a margin of about 30 minutes either way, within a window (09-12, 12-15, 15-18 or 18-21), or on a date you choose from 1 to 30 days ahead. The option you pick defines what "on track" means: for a window, the flowers can arrive at any point inside it.

Stage four is the arrival. The courier calls the recipient about 15 minutes before reaching the address. This call is both a courtesy and a checkpoint: if the recipient answers, the delivery is practically done. If they do not, the courier and manager work out what to do next, as described below.

Ordering from another time zone without losing sleep

The hardest part of following a delivery from abroad is not the logistics, it is the clock. If you live in Vancouver and your sister lives in Novosibirsk, her morning is your evening of the previous day. Before you choose a time slot, convert it into your own time and write both down. A window of 12-15 in Novosibirsk is a very different hour on your side.

For birthdays and anniversaries, pre-ordering is the calmest approach. You can place the order 1 to 30 days ahead, settle every detail while you are awake and relaxed, and then simply wait for the photo and the result. Last-minute orders work too, especially with express delivery in large cities, but give yourself enough buffer to answer the manager if they have a question about the address.

If the moment matters, choose an exact time rather than a broad window. A bouquet that arrives at 9:00, just before your mother leaves for work, is a different experience from one that might arrive at any time before noon. For a surprise at a celebration, an exact time also lets the people on the spot be ready to open the door.

Keep your own phone reachable on the messenger you used to order. If the courier cannot reach the recipient, the quickest solution usually involves you, because only you can approve handing the flowers to a neighbour or agreeing another time.

What happens if the recipient is not at home

This is the situation people fear most when they cannot see the delivery themselves. The courier calls the recipient about 15 minutes in advance, which already prevents most missed deliveries: people come down, ask a colleague to collect the flowers, or explain where to leave them.

If the recipient is not there, we do not simply leave the bouquet on the doorstep. We agree a second delivery the same day, or, with your consent as the sender, hand the flowers to a neighbour or the concierge. Your consent matters here: some senders are happy for a neighbour to hold the bouquet for an hour, others want it delivered only to the person named on the card.

You can make this decision in advance. When you place the order, mention in the comments what you prefer if nobody answers. It saves a round of messages, and for a surprise it keeps the plan intact. A short note such as "if she is out, leave with the concierge, she lives on the 4th floor" is all it takes.

Anonymous orders and surprises

Tracking and surprise can look like opposites: you want to follow every step, but the recipient should know nothing until the doorbell rings. Our delivery is anonymous by default, so the courier does not name the sender. If you want your name known, write it on the card; if you want to keep the mystery, leave the card unsigned or sign it with a hint only the recipient will understand.

The courier's call 15 minutes before arrival is normally made to the recipient, so for a full surprise give the number of someone who is in on it, such as a flatmate, a colleague at the office reception or a family member. Note this in the order so the manager knows whom to contact and that the call should not spoil the gift.

For birthdays, a classic move is to time the delivery for the morning, so the bouquet sets the tone for the day. For an apology or a "thinking of you" gesture, an ordinary weekday afternoon often works better: the flowers arrive when nothing else is happening and they get full attention.

After delivery: how to tell the flowers were looked after

Once the bouquet is delivered, your recipient becomes the person who decides how long it lasts. If you are speaking to them that day, a few words of advice go a long way: trim the stems by 1-2 cm at an angle with a sharp knife, put the flowers in a clean vase with cool water, remove any leaves that sit below the waterline and keep the vase away from radiators, direct sun and fruit bowls.

Roses and chrysanthemums appreciate fresh water every day or two; tulips keep growing in the vase and bend towards the light, so they look best in a tall vessel; hydrangeas drink through their heads as well as their stems and recover from wilting if you mist them. These small habits often add several days to a bouquet's life.

Frequently asked questions

Can I track my flower delivery to Russia from abroad?

Yes. The manager confirms your order, can send a photo of the bouquet before delivery, and you can follow the details on WhatsApp. The courier also calls the recipient about 15 minutes before arrival.

How will I know the bouquet looks right?

Ask for a photo of the finished bouquet before it goes out. It is the easiest way to check the colour, size and composition while there is still time to discuss changes.

What if the recipient does not answer the door?

We agree a second delivery the same day, or hand the flowers to a neighbour or concierge if you, as the sender, agree. You can state your preference in the order comments in advance.

Will the recipient know who sent the flowers?

Not unless you tell them. Delivery is anonymous by default and the courier does not name the sender, so it is up to you whether to sign the free card.

How fast can flowers be delivered?

In large cities, within 1-2 hours after the order is confirmed. You can also choose an exact time, a time window or a date up to 30 days ahead.
